Portsmouth Abbey student Jade Liang '20 organized a donation drive on campus during the last week of school to collect clothes, shoes and books from students and faculty. With help from Meagan Dennis '20, they collected 10 large boxes and a dozen trash bags full of donated goods for Salvation Army.
The girls offered pizza and prizes to everyone who contributed. "I am happy with the number of donations we received; although there could have been more, I believe that it is doing good for others that really matters," Liang says. "And it was fun trying something new." She plans to continue the drive in the years to come.
