As part of her Haney Fellowship, rising Sixth Form student Julia Lamarre has been at work all summer directing Annie, the musical, comprised entirely of special needs children. And it's garnering a lot of attention.

South Coast Today ran a feature on the show, including insights from Julia, parents, and more. The Dartmouth Village Soup also ran a story on the upcoming musical.

Julia's first thought to complete her Haney fellowship was a trip to Costa Rica to work on a musical theater program there. However, after brainstorming, she decided to combine her love for musical theater with her love for working with kids with disabilities. She emailed schools, sent out flyers, found groups and organizations on Facebook, and eventually wrangled in a cast of 16 students.

She's even featured in a YouTube video about the play, as seen below. Annie runs for two shows, Friday, Aug. 3 at 6 p.m. and Saturday, Aug. 4 at 2 p.m., at Friends Academy in Dartmouth.
